Waiting for the news!

Well, Christmas is over! We had a really good one this year. We were able to see my family in Salt Lake. It was really fun to see everyone! Next month we will get to find out what we are having. I can't wait! I think it's going to be a boy, but it's hard to say. If it's a girl, I think we are going to name her Natalee Jordyn. If it's a boy, we will have to hurry and think of a name because we cannot decide on any. We are only half way through the pregnancy, but I feel like I am running out of time. There is so much left to do. Most of it can't be done until we find out the sex. I am starting to think about everything... including what we will do for a babysitter when I go back to work. I wish we had family close by because I am paranoid about day care. The baby is growing so fast. I am heading into my 17th week now. They say the baby is as big as an avacado and will double in size over the next couple of weeks... crazy!!!

The Doctor

We had our second doctors visit on Friday. At the first one she did an ultra sound and we were able to see the baby's heart beat. This time we were able to hear it. At first, it took her a while to find it and I was getting really nervous. Once she found it though it was amazing. It was strong and healthy and it made me so happy! I have been feeling a lot better. I have just been extremely tired, but I have a feeling that is not going to go away until the baby is an adult. The doctor said that all of my blood work looked good. We are getting really excited!

Being Pregnant

When Brian and I found out that we are going to have baby we were so excited! After trying for a while we couldn't beleive it when the test said "pregnant"! I am now ten weeks alaong and I am definately feeling pregnant. I have been extremely tired and cranky. I have had sickness all throughout the day. Some days are worse than others, but I'm doing everything to fight it. I eat a lot of crackers and I drink 7-up and gingerale. I also like to drink ginger tea. Anything that is spicy or has much flavor gives me heart burn and gas. I haven't lost my appetite though. I already had to buy a pair of maternity pants (which I am in love with). I have been craving Subway and Pizza. I've also been eating a lot more ice cream than I used to. I can't wait to find out what sex the baby is. I don't really care either way, I just want to get started on the nursery. I have had mixed emotions about the whole thing. Some days I am extremely excited and some days I am scared to death. I know we will be good parents though and that everything will work out. This is something I have thought about and wanted for a long time now. I am glad that Brian and I have a strong relationship because that is what is assuring me that we will be able to get through this. I can't wait to be a mom!!!

How we met

Brian and I met when I was 8 and he was 10. His family owned a video store and my mother owned a craft shop just down the street in Shelley, Id. At the time I hated him! He treated me like any 10 year old boy treats girls. Then about 7 years later, he was working at Walmart with my dad. I saw him again and thought he was hot! I had a major crush on him. I ended up moving from Firth to Blackfoot and became really good friends with his ex girlfriend. One day he called to talk to her mom and since she wasn't there I got on the phone and started chatting. We ended up talking a couple more times on the phone and he came to visit me at work. Just after I had graduated my friends and I got a little carried away partying. Since I had already been in trouble with my parents and had been warned I could not live at home anymore if I didn't follow the rules, I knew I had to find a place to live. My friend (Brian's Ex) had the idea to call Brian. She called him and amazingly he already knew the whole story. He had called my dad that day for Father's Day. (he had never done that before) My mom had told him what happened and he said he would be there in five minutes to get me. I thought I would just stay there for a couple of days until I got things sorted out, but by the first night we were really hitting it off. I ended up staying with him and we have lived together ever since.
